The property

Resting in the seaside town of Mundesley, 5 Siesta Mar is a lovely chalet ideal for a coastal family getaway to Norfolk, with many local amenities and attractions.

Enter into this lovely chalet and find yourself in an open-plan living area with tasteful furniture and loads of amenities, so why not grab a coffee and settle into the leather sofa in the sitting area and plan the day ahead of you?

The kitchen has pleasant wooden furniture and appliances that will assist you with cooking a heart-warming meal, which can be enjoyed at the fold-out dining table, or there is the option of a picnic in the sunshine on the communal lawn.

Freshen up in the shower room, soaking the sand from your hair, before you settle down for the night in one of the two bedrooms, choosing between a double with beach hut bedding and storage and a children’s room with a bunk and single bed, sleeping a total of three children.

Mundesley is a seaside town offering a selection of pubs, including The Ship Inn, eateries, cafes, a convenience store and a fantastic sandy beach ideal for a day spent trying out watersports, wild swimming or just enjoying the sunshine with a good book as the little ones build sandcastles.

There is also a golf course where you can try out a game or two, and the River Mun passing through the village.

For more amenities and attractions, head over to Cromer, where there is a museum on local history, more lovely beaches, BeWILDerwood Norfolk theme park, and the Amazona Zoo.

From here, you will be able to enjoy the many stunning walks through the coast and countryside of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including areas such as Holkham Beach, Scolt Head Island National Nature Reserve, Cley Marshes visitors centre and Teal Hide, and several National Trust sites, making this location ideal for those who love birdwatching and spending time in nature.

The attractive, Norfolk coastal village of Mundesley offers pubs, convenience stores and an excellent coffee shop and bar, The Porthole, which is a café during the day and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings it turns into a bar which offers a selection of cocktails. Elsewhere there is a popular golf course, a large park with play areas, a wonderful sandy beach with brightly coloured beach huts, and quaint cottages, many of which are built in local flint stone. The popular seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham, which is known as a stop for steam trains travelling on the Poppy Line Heritage Railway, are both close by. There are many other places of interest in the area, including the National Trust owned Sheringham Park, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, and East Ruston Gardens and Hoverton Hall are a must for gardeners. The Norfolk Broads are also within easy driving distance, where children can enjoy tree-house adventures at ‘Bewilderwood’, or alternatively hire a cruiser and spend the day exploring the waterways. The city of Norwich offers a cathedral, castle, museums, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, various guided tours, excellent shopping and restaurants. Mundesley is an ideal base for exploring the whole of Norfolk.
